The Granite Gourd is worked in the round, starting at the base and working towards the stem while creating integral ribs for shaping. No sewing is required for that perfect pumpkin form; just cinch the top opening and attach your stem. Life is gourd!

Options are provided for eighteen finish sizes to fully customize your pumpkin patch.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: magic circle, chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, working around the front post, working into chain spaces

HOOK: 5.0 mm • US size H-8 or size to obtain gauge

YARN: Weight 4 • 50-200 yds
     Shown in Caron One Pound, 100% acrylic worsted; 742m/812yd & 454g/16 oz per ball
     Color: Soft Sage; Medium Gray Mix (for stem)

NOTIONS: scissors + wool needle

OTHER MATERIALS: polyfil + pumpkin stem materiallllll

FINAL SIZE
Diameter: 3 (5, 7, 9, 11, 13) inches across.
Height varies based on diameter of pumpkin
     SHORT is one-half the diameter
     ROUND is two-thirds the diameter
     TALL is equal to the diameter
